At the moment I am reading the book "Who am I - 16 basic desires" by Dr. Steven Reiss.
It was of course recommended by Jurgen Appelo who is a great supporter of Steven.
In this book Dr. Reiss agrees with Jurgen that a mindshift change is only via behaviroural change possible. You should start there first!
In this context Dr. Reiss took the chance with his wife to conduct research for many years to identify the basic desires of human beings which automatically lead to (in-) visible behaviours. See graphic below.
By understanding the basic desire of people, of our children of elderly people we are able to better agree with their behaviours and are able to find a valuable approach how to communicate, change or deal with them.
Dr. Steven Reiss enriched his book with many impressive personal stories about his life, about comparing relations to animals and their instincts (back to nature) and practical tests and methods.
Worth and easy reading it.
