Riemann & Thomann stressed out the relevance of human nature in terms of enjoying closeness vs. distance & prefering change vs. order.
I was familiar with this concept during my coaching education at the prestigious coaching institute ISB Wiesloch in Germany. So I enjoyed deep diving into it and trying it out with friends before applying it at business.
This model is one of many human behaviours and needs tests which supports consultants, team leads, teams and people by themselves to achieve a little bit structure and first insights about complex behaviours within transformation processes.
Especially at the beginning of transformation it is recommended to let key stakeholders, transformation teams and whole impacted organizational teams conduct this test in order to be aware of the major differences between stakeholders needs and behaviours during the change process. It also provides better understanding, tolerance and appreciations of THE OTHERS who are advocates, passive supporters, observants and of course negators of change.
The fundamental needs and fears of each group or individuals enable the change team to better address key needs and to develop the right individual change measures.
It makes the change process more transparent, less complex and manageable.
Of courese there are many more models which highly facilitate change processes.
From our little research I would also recommend to try it out - go for Riemann-Thomann Model.
